Lassiter discusses his upbringing, his education, his "civil rights experiences" on the Tuskegee University campus, his career, his commitment to community service (including appointments to national committees and boards), his unsuccessful fight to save Bishop College, his involvement with the African American Museum of Dallas, his experience integrating a hotel in Georgia, his belief in needing to help others get ahead in life, and racism.
