Loose pages of a scrapbook that belonged to Amy Newsom, a student of North Texas State Normal College in the 1910s. Many of the photographs depict Newsom and other female students who resided in the Gallagher House, a boarding house in Denton, Texas. These photos show the students studying, posing in front of the house, exercising, and participating in other social activities around campus and Denton. "Ma and Pa" Gallagher, presumably the owners of the house, are also pictured as is William Bruce, the university president at the time. Individual photographs of Newsom's "friends and classmates" are featured and labeled either with first and last names or the individual's relationship to Amy. These individual photographs include photos of Amy Newsom and of her younger brother, Clyde Newsom. In addition to photos from Newsom's time in college, the scrapbook also contains photographs and postcards from a trip to Palacios, Texas, as well as "miscellaneous" photos of a house in Celina, Texas, and of a creek.

Patent for "a machine for destroying boll weevil and other pests which frequent and infect agricultural products" (lines 14-16) using "suction nozzles correlated with a common suction system adaptable to sweep a plurality of rows at a time" (lines 27-30) including illustrations.

Patent for a combined marking-pot and brush where the marking-pot "will effectually support a brush and prevent the handle thereof from dropping down in to the ink or paint contained therein" (lines 13-16). The marking-pot also provides a detachable cover to prevent spilling.

Patent for a trigger operated shotgun that uses an electrical circuit to ignite combustible material of the shell and thereby propelling the shot within.

Patent for an electrically-heated boiler that provides a "compact structure which occupies a minimum amount of space" (line 11-12) while still being a reliable machine.

Patent for a new, reinforced harness made of rubber, a metal chain, and leather, including illustrations.

Patent for reamer drills for boring wells. The invention relates to the construction and arrangement of the drill. The drill expands as it leaves the casing to form a drill and reamer, which limits the expansion of the forks.

Patent for new design for dirigible headlights by Mr. Hall B. Simpson and Mr. Dewitt Hood, designed with the intention of providing "novel and improved means whereby the headlights are supported by the automobile or other vehicle for turning movement about vertical axes," alongside various innovative applications (lines 23-27).

Patent for demountable rims for motor vehicles which are constructed of two sections that latch together, resulting in easier application and/or removal of a tire from the rim.

Patent for improvements in "air and water craft" (line 13) invisible including illustrations. These improvements include invisibility through "plurality of plates or sections" (lines 18-19) and diffuse light, disguising the vessels.
