Narrator Kern Tips recaps regular season conference games between the Baylor University Bears, Texas Tech University Red Raiders, University of Arkansas Razorbacks, Southern Methodist University Mustangs, Rice University Owls, University of Texas at Austin Longhorns, Texas A&M University Aggies, and Texas Christian University. It also takes a break from game highlights to feature several members of the 1956 All-Southwest honor team. At the conclusion, the film follows Southwest Conference champion TCU to the Cotton Bowl Classic game against Syracuse University.

[Letter from John J. Herrera to Luciano Santoscoy - 1955-05-17]

Onionskin paper carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera to Luciano Santoscoy, sending greetings and to inform Santoscoy that he was in Bryan, Texas for the inauguration of Bryan Council No. 221's home and ball park. Herrera also talks about his participation in the commemoration of San Jacinto Day (April 21) at the San Jacinto Monument. Herrera gives a bit of history about himself: "I am also a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas due to my relation to Pedro Herrera, who fought at San Jacinto, Blas Herrera of Bear County in San Antonio, who was a scout for Sam Houston, and Francisco Ruiz, alcalde [mayor] of San Antonio during the Texas Revolution, and one of the two native Texans who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence." Herrera praises Santoscoy in the remaining portion of the letter on a job well done on the LULAC News publication.

Martinez of Galveston Council 151, asking Martinez to send a Lulac Program so that Herrera can have the events planned announced over the radio station KLVL. Herrera also asks Martinez to have Brother Cliff Lopez, chaplain of the Bryan Council, give the official prayer at the Convention in Galveston. Herrera tells Martinez of his plans to be a moderator at one of the seminars and mentions that it will be a "tight fight for the National Presidency."
