A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Committee on Americanism, Parramore Post No. 57, American Legion, Abilene, Texas, from Murray D. Van Wagoner, Governor, State of Michigan, dated December 12, 1941. Governor Van Wagoner defines Americanism.

Interview with Gilberto S. Trevino, a U. S. Marine during World War II. He attended Texas A&M before serving in the Marine Corps. He was in the 28th Replacement Battalion when he was assigned to the 3d Marine Division and deployed to Iwo Jima. He discusses his first impressions of landing on the island. He describes the constructed Japanese defenses on the island and the use of Japanese Nisei interpreters to convince defenders to surrender. He returned to Texas A&M where he was in the Corps of Cadets (ROTC) and accepted his commission in the Army in time to serve in Korea. He eventually earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M and a doctorate degree in pathology from Michigan State University. He retired from service in 1976 with the rank of colonel.

Postcard from J. D. Smith to George Pendexter with a message saying that Smith had forgotten Pendexter's number. On the backside of the postcard there is a photo of some of the members of the Central Fire Station in Lansing, Michigan. The twelve men in front of the building are standing next to two of the automobiles used in fighting fires; the car on the left is holding ladders in the back end.

Interview with Henry Retzloff, Jr. regarding his experiences while stationed at Kaneohe Naval Air Station during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and other installations on the island on December 7th, 1941.

Letter from Mordechai Kreinin to H. Kempner Cotton Company asking them to fill out a questionnaire to help him collect data for a research project about "comparative labor efficiency in the United States and abroad". He says that he is looking exclusively at "innate qualities of the labor force". An "Intent of Inquiry" and the questionnaire mentioned in the letter are attached.

Patent for "improvements in disk plows and similar implements, and especially to means employed for raising and lowering the frames of said plows in order to regulate the depth of the furrow" (lines 9-13).
