Letter from B. D. Dashiell to Hon. J. D. Giddings. Dashiell explains that he has visited Mr. Stone and some of the stockholders, and they are unwilling to transfer. Stone says that he can prove Mr. Carmer failed to exact the payment of stock and therefore take recourse on the boarding house, yet Dashiell claims that Stone is and was president of the board of stockholders and also failed to exact the unpaid stock.
