The street is lined with trees and poles, and there are two horse-drawn buggies, one on the street and one one the sidewalk. On the sidewalk, and across the street, there are buildings and storefronts - one with a sign reading "Meat Market." The back of the postcard is blank except for postcard markings and a note about the date and location of the photo.

There is a small tower extending from the center of the roof of the building, with a cross-shaped spire at the top. There are a few short steps leading up to the first-story porch and the front door to the academy. There are several trees surrounding the building, obscuring much of the second-story.
