[First Baptist Church, 405 West Austin, Marshall, Texas]

Color halftone postcard of the First Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas, 405 W. Austin St. The main sanctuary building is a gable front red brick building with bell tower and steeple on top of the front gable and a pedimented classical entrance porch projecting from the facade. A smaller similar chapel building is to its left, with an education or office wing behind it. All the buildings are faced with red brick. The buildings are on a corner lot, and a stop sign, directional signs, and street signs are on the corner. Low bushes are planted around the base of the buildings. Printed on the back of the card between the message and address sections: "135651 , Charles G. Hieronymus Photography, 65 Dolores Dr., Edison, N. J. 08817." A logo of a capital letter K within a triangle is in the lower left of the back of the card. There is no postmark or message on the back of the card. The printed caption on the back of the card gives the membership total for the year 1973, which indicates that the card was probably published around that year.

The two-story brick and glass modern building has two wings visible in the view, the one on the left has a wall of glass panels with entrance doors on the lower right, next to the wing that projects to the right to form an L. There is a large pine tree on the left in the foreground. Printed on the back between the message and address sections: "McGrew Color Graphics, MCG, Kansas City, MO 64108, 071077, Dist. by Ed Boden Studio Georgetown, KY 40324." There is no postmark or message on the back of the card.

Color halftone postcard of the Gables Cafe, Marshall, Texas, taken at night sometime after a 1974 rebuilding. The illuminated signs include a large rectangular sign supported by two posts in front of the entrance that says "The Gables Restaurant" and a rooftop sign that says "The Gables Cafe." Another sign with smaller letters runs along the ridge of the roof and says "Home of the Little Loaf of Bread." Automobiles and a pickup truck are parked in the parking log in front. There is no postmark or message on the back of the card. The caption on the back names the hosts as Amy and Troy Hammons.
