There is another wooden building beyond the church (which is situated at the right side of the photo), in the background, along with a windmill. There is a wood post fence in the grassy yard to the left of the church.

Postcard to Mrs. G. F. Southwick. The postcard features a photograph of a long, two-story building with porches on both stories and a stone wall with an open gate in front of the building. The roof of the building is gabled and the porch on the second story is enclosed by a screen. There are a few small trees within the yard, and beyond the fence is a road. There are handwritten notes around the border of the photograph, and the back is blank except for a name and address.

The image on the front of the postcard is a view of the exterior of the Phillip Hotel, a two-story stone and wood house with two wings, and a wood and wire fence surrounding. There are long porches along the first and second stories, and windows along each floor. The back of an open buggy is visible at the left of the photo, with a dark-colored, short-furred dog standing to the front and right of it.

The ranch has two large buildings barely visible in the center of a large area filled with scrub-brush and trees.

[Hotel Beaumont]

Postcard of the exterior and interior of Hotel Beaumont on the corner of Orleans Street and Fannin Street. On the left side is a picture of the exterior of the hotel with signs that say "Hotel Beaumont" and four automobiles on the street. On the right side of the postcard is the interior of the hotel with furniture. The Hotel Beaumont was opened to the public on Tuesday, August 8, 1922. It was 11 stories tall with 250 rooms and built in the Mediterranean Revival architectural style. Printed on the front of the postcard is "Hotel Beaumont, Beaumont, Texas" and "6A-H1654." On the back of the postcard is printed "Hotel Beaumont, 'A Hotel of Distinction,' In the Center of EVERYTHING, Completely Air Conditioned." Also printed on the back of the postcard is the following information regarding the postcard's creation: "Genuine Curteich-Chicago 'C.T. Photo-Colorit' Post Card (Reg. U.S. Pat.Off.)." Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "Dear John I hope you are well and plenty of work showing up there. I am in Texas looking for work. Regards Dan Fershetti" The card is addressed to Mr. John Lehmone Plums bus Local #1 Atlantic Ave Brooklyn New York.

Postcard of St. Anthony Catholic Church, later St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, and convent located on Archie, Forsythe, Jefferson, and Wall streets. Printed at the top left of the postcard is "Saint Anthony's Catholic Church and Convent, Beaumont, Texas." On the back of the postcard is printed the following information regarding its creation: "Published by S.H. Kress & Co. Made in the U.S.A." and "A-470." Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "Beaumont Texas Box 39. Have been here two weeks today visiting Verda. Will be here several months write to me and it will be appreciated I can assure you. The image on the front of the postcard shows a mill next to railroad tracks, and printed text on the photo identifies the subject as the McFaddin, Kyle & Weiss Rice Mill in Beaumont, Texas. The handwritten message on the back of the postcard is addressed to "Uncle Henry" and says, "I was glad to hear from you. I ought to have answered sooner. It is true we are drifting that way but we are so scattered I don't know whether we could all get there together or not. I have always thought I would like to live in California on account of the climate. I don't think we will remain here much longer but I can't say just where we will go. This leaves us well. I hope it will find you the same."
