I'm now in Taylor I came home two weeks agoe [sic] was in Round Rock too but you was not there. I'm been [...] on the country and came home today best regards from Mrs. Sandstrom"

The 'Os-Aple' jubilee was the 1912 celebration marking 60 years of existence for the City named 'El Paso'. El Paso was originally settled and named as the Franklin Settlement in 1849. The Franklin Settlement was later renamed to 'El Paso' in 1852; hence the 1912 jubilee celebration for the City of El Paso, Texas. According to the El Paso Herald, 24 October 1912 front page, "Military Parade Proves Jubilee's Biggest Feature - Over Two Thousand Infantrymen, Cavalrymen, Artillerymen, Hospital Corps Men, and Signal Men march to the Stirring Music of Military Bands and the Wild Applause of Americans. Gen Steever Reviews the Parade" ..... "Gen E.Z. Steever led the parade followed by Capt. Geo S. Simonds, acting as chief of staff, and the general's aide-de-camp." From the El Paso Herald, 23 October 1912, front page; 'Chief Os-Aple Smokes Pipe of Peace - Arrives With His Retinue, Joins His Princes Wanda [sic] and Gets Key to City - Greeted by the El Paso Citizens". Postcard message reads: "A division of the great military parade here over 2500 were in line representing, infantry, cavalry, signal corps, heavy artillery. This is El Paso's Os-Apel [sic] Jubilee week something doing every day, Walter". Addressed …

Southwest desert vista. There is no information provided for the location from where this image was captured. A solid rock mountain face encompasses most of the foreground in this photographic desert scene. In the center of this image, there is a small lake or some ponding water. A lone tree is clearly visible in the middle of this small body of water. And in the background, an unidentified mountain. Right center of the image there are two men facing the camera. One man is standing and the other man is sitting on a large rock. The man who is standing is wearing a light colored shirt and the man who is sitting is wearing a dark colored shirt. Both men are wearing hats. This postcard was mailed to Miss G.M. Horne in Portland, Main. The postcard message reads: Had quite an excitement here for a few days but it quieted down as soon as the U.S. Troops took a hand. Very hot here. Hope you are ok. The fight livened my business up in good shape. The postcard is post marked June 24, 1918, El Paso.

Postcard from W. E. Miller of a group of men posed into two rows outdoors, with a cluster of trees, a grassy field, and large hill seen in the background. A canopy tent is positioned within the background trees to the far right. Text printed onto the photo reads, "38th U.C.V. Re-Union Goldthwaite, Texas - 7-22,23,24 1924", and handwriting on the back reads, "Hope to meet you at the next and many more re-unions. Your friend, W.E. Miller".

Postcard of a man standing between stacks of cotton bales in a large barn, with the caption, "Rogers Tex. Farmers Union Warehouse." A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Miss Annie Wiggers in Temple, Texas and says, "Hello. How are you this eve? I am down in the bottom cutting wood now. Got 8 more boys with me. We are having a good old time. Well how was preaching Sunday? Mattie & Leo. Kreuger were at our house Sunday. All went to Knob Creek to prayer meeting Sunday night. Bye bye. A."

Postcard from Alivia and Herman to Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Kneupper, wishing them a happy thanksgiving. The front of the postcard features an illustration of a small body of water flowing over a short dam into a small stream. The water is lined on either side by trees and bushes, and on the far bank, there is a short fence separating the grassy area.

Postcard to Mrs. Fritz Adler in San Antonio, Texas. The front of the postcard features an illustration of a two-story L-shaped, white house with a front porch and tall trees obscuring the front of the house. Two white benches sit on the lawn within the trees, facing each other.

Postcard featuring a photograph of the front of Hotel Iturbide on Calle Zaragoza in Monterrey, Mexico with mountains in the background as well as people and automobiles in the street. It was sent to Rochester, Minnesota with this handwritten text: "Sun. P. M. Dear Matt: arrived here yesterday (Saty.) leaving right now, the weather has been unusually cold. Laredo, on the border, had 2" snow the Mexican kids sure were having fun with it. So long, Mel"

Postcard from Mr. and Mrs. [O. J. Bentley] to Mrs. Mary Moore. The photo on the postcard is of a family sitting out in front of their house. The mother is sitting on the steps leading up to the porch with the younger boy in her lap. The older boy is sitting on a brick column with a dog. On the back is a message wishing Mary Moore a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Postcard of a wooden bridge at Cotton Palace Park in Waco, Texas. A handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Mrs. L.D. Ormsly in Keyport, New Jersey and says "Dear Mama, Traveling over the worst roads I ever saw. In fact they are no roads half the time, have only 1-- miles of good roads to go now to D. Love Donn."

Postcard from Doris Tanner to Rig Edwards thanking him for all he does on behalf of the WASP and his help in selling her book. The front of the postcard has a picture of the red, white, and blue Christmas tree in Union City, Tennessee's Court House Square.

Postcard from Elaine Harmon to Rig Edwards discussing photographs he sent her and her recent visit with fellow WASP Jean Downey. The front of the postcard has a picture of a currency wagon at the U.S. Treasury Department.

Card with letter from Charles B. White & Company to Isaac Herbert Kempner mentioning the following: General Crude Oil Company Common Stock Currently Trading 45 bid - 47 asked.

Postcard addressed to George Pendexter with a photograph of company #1 in the Owosso Fire Department. There are two horse-drawn fire wagons on either side of the picture, the one on the left is loaded with ladders and the one on the right appears to have a steamer engine in the back of it. There are also six firemen photographed, two are seated on either wagon while the other four are standing in between the two wagons.

Postcard addressed to George Pendexter with a note on the back noting that this is the only photo of this car. There are two firemen sitting in the front seat of the truck, and four other firemen are standing over by the garage entrance; there is a label on the side of the truck's engine reading "Chemical Engine W. F. D." There are children standing over by the right side of the car.

Postcard with a photograph of the Goshen Fire Department in Goshen, Indiana posing for a picture outside the residence of W. J. Latta. There are three separate horse-drawn fire wagons in this picture, on the far right is the solo passenger wagon, the wagon with the large water hose is in the center, and the wagon carrying the ladders is on the far left; all together there are five firemen in the picture.

Postcard from W. B. Johnston to George Pendexter mentioning a recent fire that took place by a drug store and restaurant; Johnston says this took place "across the street from the Parker fire" that he had sent a card of in the past. The photograph shows the ruins of a building in Bellevue, Michigan after having been destroyed by a fire in December 1911; the only thing left is a pile of rubble and dirt.

Postcard with a tinted photograph Wading Pond at City Park in Houston, Texas. The photograph shows kids standing in the water in front of a fountain, there are other people standing near a pedestrian bridge; the text on the back says: "I can handle Will Harry & Jack [] will send them a postal in the near future."

Postcard to Mamie Collins in Central City, Nebraska from Katharine E. Wheatly with an illustration of a large turkey on the front and the caption "I wonder why they are feeding me so lately" printed at the bottom. There is a note from Wheatly on the reverse side that reads: "Dea Miss Mamie, I received all of the pretty little dollies and also the postal, I was sure glad to see you thought of me. I am well again now. How are you? Also how is your sister?"

Postcard addressed to Mamie Collins in Central City, Nebraska, and is the last of four romance cards sent to Mamie. The photograph shows a man and a woman leaning against a stone wall, the woman is wearing a white dress and the man is wearing a suit; the caption on the bottom of the photograph reads: "Promise in your eyes I find find my sunshine Go on smiling dear." There is a note on the back of the card that says: "Do you promise?"

Postcard of a color image of two cottages at the Scott & White Sanitarium, two two-story white buildings with columns in the front and balconies on the second floor, with a row of trees in front of them and a blue sky in the background. Printed on the front of the postcard: "Cottages, Scott & White Sanitarium, Temple, Texas." There is a handwritten note on the back of the postcard.

Postcard of Forest Park in Memphis, Tennessee. Photo shows a park with green grass and several sidewalks surrounding a statue of a man on a horse. Handwritten note on the back of the postcard tells Lou Rayburn about the author's mother and her well-being.
