The image on the front of the postcard is a view of the exterior of the Phillip Hotel, a two-story stone and wood house with two wings, and a wood and wire fence surrounding. There are long porches along the first and second stories, and windows along each floor. The back of an open buggy is visible at the left of the photo, with a dark-colored, short-furred dog standing to the front and right of it.
