[North Texas State College Hospital Hospital Building, Exterior]
Photograph of the old North Texas State College Hospital building. Shrubbery lines the bottom edges of the building. It was a one-story brick veneer building located on the southeast corner of the campus at Ave. A. (west side) and Chestnut. It was across the street (Chestnut) from the Student Memorial Union. This building opened in 1933 and served as the university's hospital until 1957. The site is now occupied by the Business Administration Building. The light-colored building next to the hospital appears to be the Hospital Annex, which was added after President F.D. Roosevelt approved a $12,000 WPA grant for the addition.
