The sculpture is in a median at an entrance to the Fredericksburg Pioneer plaza, which also has several planters and decorative rocks. The front entrance of the Vereins Kirche Museum is visible in the background; it is an octagonal, white, one-story building with a smaller second-story that is painted the same shade of blue as the door and shutters.
