The interview also includes Young's personal experiences of childhood in Ada, Oklahoma, her education at East Central State University and the University of Colorado, and her coming out narrative. They talk about their meeting and early relationship, give descriptions of Denver's gay and lesbian communities, their involvement with various groups such as the Daughters of Bilitis and Gay Liberation Front, their decision to move to Dallas, their involvement with groups such as the National Organization for Women and Dallas Gay Political Caucus/Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance in various political campaigns, and Young's career at Texas Instruments and Raytheon and efforts to create more equitable human resources policies from within the corporations. Additionally, Armstrong and Young talk about the effects of the HIV-AIDS crisis on Dallas's gay and lesbian communities, their 2008 marriage, relationships with family members, and secrets to a long relationship.

William hopes that Linnet has recovered from whooping cough. None of the kids have come down with whooping cough yet and he has to worry about measles going around. Dinky says they are all well except for Willie who has a bad cold. She went to town for some errands. She gives some advice for Linnet and wishes they were with her. She mentions that Mr.Campbell is moving to Nashville.

This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It was written by Adelitia "Dinkie" McGee and Matilda Dodd. In this letter, Dinkie and Matilda update the Moore family and Alice on the goings-on in Gallatin, Tennessee. The news includes: community news, a dialogue about the weather, a discussion on the health of family and friends, and details on Dinkie's butter and egg venture. She closes her letter by mentioning Bettie's dress as well as her own dress and details that she is sending a swatch. She also states that Birdie is upset with Alice for not writing her and only writing the boys. An additional letter is written by Frank M. Griffin, Alice's husband. In Alice's letter, she informs the Moore family of the goings-on in Gallatin, Tennessee and the news includes: an update on family members health, news about the weather, a discussion about Matilda Dodd, a dialogue about pickling and preserving, a dialogue about Bailey Love, details about deaths in the community and general community news, a discussion about Bessie, Mattie, Birdie, and Hattie Love, an update on the dress she is making for Matilda, details about Pete who is helping Matilda, and news of Bettie and Matilda's visit. In Alice's second letter, she details Matilda's and Bettie's visit, discusses news about family and friends, mentions her garden and box flowers,and writes about a dress she is having made and a dress she is making for Birdie. This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Charles B. Moore and is addressed to Mary Ann Moore. In this letter, Moore discusses the days agenda and tells Mary they are getting ready for breakfast. He details a conversation he had with the Texan who is bunking next to their room and shares her plans, past and future, for this trip. He notes that they will have a picnic today and that he is collecting items from every where for Mary. He mentions that he met a woman who knew Will Wallace in Grand Junction. He also met an old Tennessean and "got a dollar worth out of him" in conversation. They plan to travel across the mountains on Sunday and do not know yet what route they will take for that expedition. He tells Mary she should go out and make a day out of an excursion somewhere close to home. He states that experiencing nature for one day is worth three days of household chores. He details correspondences received and the picture Linnet after riding up the canyon by mule. He mentions their lunch plans and closes the letter. The envelope is …

Letter to Mary Moore, Claude and Linnet White from Birdie McGee. She tried to respond to their letter sooner, but she has been really busy. She wants them to come visit her. Henry is a little sick, but will be making a trip to Texas. She believes that Bessie will marry John Turner. She had some visitors and was surprised that Mollie Love is still alive. She comments on the styles. She is expecting Minnie to come visit them when she gets back from her trip. She mentions the odd spring and winter they had. She talks about her cow and sow. She had more visitors. She is tired of writing so will close the letter. Will says he will also write.

Letter from Sam Graber to Joe Bertig discussing his daughter Carol's ambition to enroll at the University of Texas in Austin in the Scottish Rite Dormitory. Mr. Graber has been informed that admission to that dormitory would be easier if his daughter had a 32nd Degree Mason she was related to in the state of Texas. Mr. Graber then asks Mr. Bertig to help him find someone to put in a good word for Carol.

Postcard from Doris Tanner to Rig Edwards thanking him for all he does on behalf of the WASP and his help in selling her book. The front of the postcard has a picture of the red, white, and blue Christmas tree in Union City, Tennessee's Court House Square.
