Interview with James F. Brede, dentist and U.S. Army Air Forces veteran. The interview includes his personal experiences in World War II as a B-17 co-pilot with the 8th Air Force in the European Theater, his childhood in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, enlistment in the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1943, preliminary training in Tennessee, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas, his active service with the 379th Bomb Group in Kimbolton, England, combat experience in 35 missions, return to the U.S. and continued military service as a flight instructor in Lakeland, Florida and Wichita Falls, Texas, as well as the return to civilian life, marriage, dental school under the G.I. Bill, reenlistment in the Air Force as a dentist, his deployment to Korea, his discharge from the Air Force, and the establishment of his dental practice and experiences since retirement. The interview includes an appendix with a copy of his book.

Interview with Louise Young and Vivienne Armstrong, longtime activists in the Dallas lesbian community. The interview includes Armstrong's personal experiences of childhood in Knoxville, Tennessee, New Jersey, and California, as well as her decision to study nursing and settle in Denver, Colorado, and her coming out narrative. The interview also includes Young's personal experiences of childhood in Ada, Oklahoma, her education at East Central State University and the University of Colorado, and her coming out narrative. They talk about their meeting and early relationship, give descriptions of Denver's gay and lesbian communities, their involvement with various groups such as the Daughters of Bilitis and Gay Liberation Front, their decision to move to Dallas, their involvement with groups such as the National Organization for Women and Dallas Gay Political Caucus/Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance in various political campaigns, and Young's career at Texas Instruments and Raytheon and efforts to create more equitable human resources policies from within the corporations. Additionally, Armstrong and Young talk about the effects of the HIV-AIDS crisis on Dallas's gay and lesbian communities, their 2008 marriage, relationships with family members, and secrets to a long relationship.

Anna Boyd writes that Will's twins are in school and the new baby always wants to be outside. The school district is putting a suspension foot bridge for the children to cross on. He hoped they enjoyed themselves and wanted to go with them to visit family. John has only one son to help him farm and Will has two, but they are still too young. H. S. Moore writes that John will finish gathering corn, and he lifted a sheep out of mud. He mentions the clouds and that Anna Boyd's letter is included in the envelope. He also says that Priest has improved a little.

This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Charles B. Moore and is addressed to Linnet Moore. In this letter, Moore informs Linnet about the goings-on in Collin County. The news includes: a confirmation on the receipt of Linnet's card, an update about Anderson who fell down Chandler's well, a discussion about the Rutledge burial of one of their three sons, news about Jack Kelly's death, community news, agricultural updates, a dialogue about correspondences received, a discussion about harvest delays in Gallatin due to rain, details about purchasing train tickets to destinations in Colorado, and updates on the well-being of family members and their activities at present. In a brief letter, dated July 30, 1898, Moore discusses the family's milk cow "Old Cora," details community news, and notes that Linnet has received catalogs from Oak Cliff and Fort Worth. He tells her that he would like her to go to school this coming session, but he feels that their excursion to Colorado would provide her with more experience than attending a session. This is a letter from the Charles B. Moore Collection. It is written by Charles B. Moore and is addressed to Mary Ann Moore. In this letter, Moore discusses the days agenda and tells Mary they are getting ready for breakfast. He details a conversation he had with the Texan who is bunking next to their room and shares her plans, past and future, for this trip. He notes that they will have a picnic today and that he is collecting items from every where for Mary. He mentions that he met a woman who knew Will Wallace in Grand Junction. He also met an old Tennessean and "got a dollar worth out of him" in conversation. They plan to travel across the mountains on Sunday and do not know yet what route they will take for that expedition. The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Al Stremel. Stremel joined the Navy in October of 1940. Beginning in December, he served in the fire room aboard USS Enterprise (CV-6). In April of 1942, they escorted USS Hornet (CV-8) on the Doolittle Raid. From June through November, they participated in the battles at Midway, the Eastern Solomons, Santa Cruz and Guadalcanal. In January of 1944, Stremel was sent to Oil Burning School in Philadelphia. He was transferred to USS Swanson (DD-443). Stremel was honorably discharged in December of 1946.
