Frank Booth's Farm
Frank Booth's farmhouse in Tennessee, 1897. After he moved to Texas, his farm was located near intersection of Loop 820 and Hwy 10. Booth-Calloway Road is named partially for him because of the location of his homestead.

[Burt C. Blanton at the Depot in Erwin, Tennessee]
The author - Burt C. Blanton - stands on the open platform of the Clinchfield Railroad's Office Car No. 100, which is located on a siding adjacent to the passenger depot at Erwin, Tennessee. The time is noon, Sunday, June 10, 1979. This was a modern car with a complement of conventional equipment. The exterior was painted dark green. The cars letterboard bore the name "Clinchfield" plus the number 100 positioned on either side, centered below the windows, all in gold leaf. There was a gold stripe near the car's base, running along each side and across the rear-end platform. Office Car No. 100 was formerly an Atlantic Coast Lines dining car bearing the name "Orlando" and the car was rebuilt in the Clinchfield's Erwin Shops.

Pair of lady's boots or "High Button Shoes" of black leather. The shoes, designed with pointed toes, lace closed along center front with laces 13 holes high. At top of toe box is decorative seaming creating a "V" shape. The low, stacked heels styled as a modified Louis heel, with rounded sides and back, tapering at center then flaring very slightly at base, and with curved front section. Sole of black leather. Lined in cream cloth and black leather. Partly illegible retailer's(?) mark stamped inside uppers: "Linkhau... / Memphis Tenn" Handwritten notation inside uppers: "236 6788"

Hat of brown felt with high, sunken crown and droopy brim. Brim gathered at crown. Brown mink bow and trim at crown. Two hatpins with mink heads. Black grosgrain ribbons at sides joined by thin cord for securing hat to wearer's head. Lined in black cotton. Narrative by Junebug Clark: A 1973 photograph of Jack Daniel's distillery workers posing for a group portrait on Jack Daniel's Old Office porch in Lynchburg, TN. There are workers from the office, tour guides, the rick yard, charcoal mellowing building, bottling line, warehouse, grain mill and of course a couple of ducks which can always be seen wandering around the hollow. The Jack Daniel's Distillery is located in a hollow and is often referred to as 'The Hollow.'
