Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "A spectactular three-alarm fire roared out of control late Wednesday at an abandoned feed mill only three blocks from the heart of downtown Oklahoma City. Bright orange flames leaping 40 feet into the air from the top of the six-story Acme Feed Mill at Reno and Sante Fe cast a brillant glow visible for miles. As scores of firemen and 18 pieces of equipment battled the stubborn blaze in freexing rain and sleet, district chief said the fire was still "completely under control" more than hour after the first alarm was sounded. The fire at first appeared confined to the upper level of the old storage building, but after several minutes flames could be seen licking through sheet metal in the west side. (Photo tage: Firemen atop snorkel unit, upper left, and giant aerial ladder pour water onto blazeing feed mill.)"

Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Joseph Gibson Rucks, followed by two pages, make his entrance as king of the 1968 Beaux Arts Ball. The 1968 Beaux Arts Ball was pretty as any fairy tale ball could have been. And at midnight, something magical happened. No, the cars didn't turn into pumpkins or waiters into mice - bu the Sheraton-Oklahoma Hotel turned into the Hotel Oklahoma. And its grand ballroom, Sheraton Hall, became Crystal Ball. The Cheshire Cheese Room, where the debs and escorts were feted at a breakfast after the ball, became the Amber Lion.......Flowers on the table were red, white and blue, as were the colors in the wall decoration - colors of the first ball held 23 years ago. But those colors were paled beside the fashions worn. We must admit that the evening dresses worn this year were probably the prettiest we've seen in a long time."
