Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "School architecture has come a long way since the days of the little red school house. When students enrolled at Jefferson Junior High School, at 6800 S Blackwelder, for the first time this fall, they found a colorful, well lighted structure that's the last word in functional design. It's a large school of eye-catching design. It cost more than $1 million, but its design makes it seem larger than it really is. The cafeteria doubles as an intruction room for television courses. The gym can be divided with a flexible partition. Some adjoining classrooms can become a suite by simply sliding a divider. Other innovations are a multi-porpose library, lockers with built-in combination locks (the combinations can be changed in seconds) and a recreation area seperated from an outdoor court only by plate glass."
