Oral History Interview with Cece Cox, November 6, 2009

Interview with executive director of resource Center Dallas Cece Cox. The interview includes Cox's personal experiences about childhood in Ohio and Bartlesville, Oklahoma, education at Northwestern University, moving to Dallas, and having a career as a photojournalist and studio photographer. Additionally, Cox discusses her coming out narrative, involvement with groups such as Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation and Dallas Gay Alliance/Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance, as well as her decision to enter SMU Law School, and her relationship with her partner, adopted son, and family members. The interview includes an appendix with newspaper articles from the Dallas Morning News and flyers.

Miss Janice Van Hoorebeke, 21, of Los Angeles, was tentatively identified as one of the dead, along with companion Carl A. Jaeger, 25, of Marina Del Ray. Jaeger lived on the boat, and Miss Van Hoorebeke was crowned Miss Bartlesville in 1965, and had come to live in L. A. when she was a contender for queen of the New Year's Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena in 1966. She was working as a secretary for an escrow company."

Soil Survey Report

Photograph of a native hay meadow. Heavy bottom land range site in excelent condition. The meadow has been mowed twice this year. Vegetation on right has not been cut and illustrates the volume of growth made during the year. Prairie cordgrass comprises approximately 90% of vigitation and is 3.5 to 4 feet high where unmowed.
