First fire alarm was received at 7:40 p.m. A total of 11 fire companies from Oklahoma City, Nichols Hills and The Village fought the blaze until a short, heavy rain hit about 8:45 p.m. and extinguished it. grass was burned over a wide area between Broadway and Hudson and south Britton Road. While several houses were threatened none was damaged."
