Here, Mrs. Ancel Earp jr., 236 NW 35, places a variety of fruits and vegetables alongside the standard religious symbols. After Thanksgiving service the food items are taken to hospitals and institutions. It is an annual tradition in Episcopal church from the altar to be decorated in this fashion. "Christmas will come too late for these two," said zoo director Warren Thomas, who explained that the ugly, priceless pair of baby gorillas is going to have to be returned unless a small miracle happens within the next few days. "Frankly," said Thomas, "Iguess what we're really hoping for is a well-heeled sugar daddy who's got about $5,000 he'd like to spend to buy the orangutans as a permanent exhibit." But unless one turns up pretty soon, he added, we're going to have to return the organutans to the animal dealer who's already preparing to sell them to another zoo. The hair little pair - described by Thomas as ridiculously grotesque - were sent here several weeks ago as a "free loan exhibit" by Henry Trefflich, New York animal dealer......Park Supt. R.R.
