Photograph of erosion control project. Lateral roads were formerly unassessable due to huge gully across roadbed. Area has been resectioned and sloped, a drop inlet and two culverts constructed by WPA. Safer roadways and safer waterways result.

Drought Depleted Pond on (Evel) Lancaster’s Land
Photograph of a UNIDENTIFED man standing next to a severely drought depleted pond on (Evel) Lancaster's land. The back of the photograph proclaims, "Part of the Lancaster pond. After four years of severe drouth [sic] Mr. Lancaster still has plenty of livestock and recreational water. This large pond 12 Ac. at spillway level, average depth 9 feet, is the principal water source for 150 head of cattle."

Gully Control by Fencing
Photograph of gully control by fencing, sloping tree planting and protection from grazing in fall of 1937. Gully banks were sloped and trees planted. Trees have made some growth and other vegetation is becoming well established due to protection from grazing.
