Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Nineteen men were dustin 12,400 seats in the Myraid Convention Center today, chair by chair by chair. But they couldn't claim the dullest job in the last minute rush to get Myraid ready for Sunday's opening. The most tediou, boresome duty was claimed by Dean Jeffersaon and Brent Thrasher, who were peeling 8,192 layers of plastic off of a steel chandelier. The chandelier, a thing of cheer beauty when the plastic comes off, is the focal spot in the President's Room, an elaborate spot for entertaining visiting VIP's. The cahndelier is made up of 4,096 pieces of shiny stainless steel. The parts are about 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. Each side is covered with plastic protection. The peeling job waited until the last minute, until the chandelier was installed and the room finished. Jefferson worked seven hours Thursday peeling the strips away. the shar-edges steel pieces are a dandy place to pick up nicks and cuts, he (see Myraid - Page 2) (photo tag: Myraid chandellier is peeled by Brent Thrasher, left and Deana Jefferson.)"
