The Cheshire Cheese Room, where the debs and escorts were feted at a breakfast after the ball, became the Amber Lion.......Flowers on the table were red, white and blue, as were the colors in the wall decoration - colors of the first ball held 23 years ago. But those colors were paled beside the fashions worn. We must admit that the evening dresses worn this year were probably the prettiest we've seen in a long time."
