Photograph of damage to new barbed wire fence and cedar posts from fire set by owner to the south during 35 mph wind storm. Three CD and SCD fire fighting units, plus two fire trucks from Marlow and two motor patrols finally controlled the blaze. 200 acres of native grass in excellent condition was destroyed.

Photograph of Washita watershed, damage to front slope of Site 26 Wildhorse Creek Watershed. Dam runs almost due east and west. Part of slope was rip-rapped with rock from spillway but rock lacked about 6 feet being high enough to prevent this damage. SCS plans to repair this damage.

Photograph of site 33, Wildhorse Watershed. C. J. Beavers, owner of this site, has sold $20,000 of water to oil companies for drilling purposes in last 2 1/2 years. He also watered neighbors' cattle from this site during drought years of '52, '53, and '54. This site was completed in 1950. Oil wells that were to be drilled in sediment pool were spaced on the edge of water and whipstocked under the pool.

Washita Watershed Gas Line
Photograph of site containing a 10 inch high pressure gas line of which 550 lineal feet will be in the permanent pool. Concrete anchors were poured on this pipe at 50 feet intervals. The Lone Star Gas Company, owner of the pipeline, made all excavations, rewrapped and placed reinforciing steel around pipe. Local sponsoring agency furnished cement for achors.
