Drills are two 9 hole and two 8 hole 12" spaced owned by Cimarron County SCD. The drills are hooked up on three drill hitches, which cover 34 feet each time through the field. Farmers are averaging 130 acres per day sided by a mixture of side oats [sic] grama, blue grama, and sand lovegrass. The field's soil is Dalhart-Mansker loam (7-B)."

Bermuda Spot Sodded on Pasture Contours

The back of the photograph proclaims, "Bermuda spot sodded on pasture contours. All the other vegetation in the pasture consists of needle grass and ragweed's. The Bermuda will spread and in time completely cover the pasture, making it a great deal better than it was before the contours were built and the Bermuda started. To be followed with later pictures showing progress."

Bundle flower

Photograph of Bundle flower (Illinois Desmathus), a native legume being tested at the Woodward Experiment Station, shows promise to be included in native grass mixtures and Weeping Lovegrass. The plant is palatable in younger stages, but more research is needed before widespread use is recommended.
