Four years ago, Olson seeded field to sand love and switch grass. Has been grazing it at rate of four acres per head of yearlings the year around. Olson now has 350 acres that used to be in wheat and sorghum that are now in grass. Sandyland range site in excellent condition."

Photograph of area which used to be covered with sage like area shown in Okila. 10, 753. Olson(left) and SCS Tech. E. S. Cordell check up on grass growth. Olson sprayed sage once with 2, 4-D four years ago, withheld grazing for year, then grazed lightly for year and has grazed moderately since. Little & big bluestem, indian, swithc, blue and sideoats grama. Texas and Prairie blue and sand paspalum came back naturally; no reseeding. and range site in excellent condition.

Caption: "Ten persons escaped serious injury Friday night when a 150-foot span of the Canadian river bridge southwest of Norman snapped under the weight of a hugh truck loaded with glass windows. The truck and semi-trailer and five passenger cars were dropped 14 feet to the river bed in the bridge's second cave-in this year. The only injury reported by highway patrol and Norman city police was to a Norman housewife, passenger in her husband's car when the mishap occured. Identified as Nrs. Lewis Dean, she suffered shock and was treated in a doctor's office and released. Troopers Carl White and O. R. Smith said the truck was in route from Henryetta to El Paso, Texas, with 423 cartons of glass windows. Driver of the truck, Garnet O'Dell Leach, 29, of El Paso, told troopers he was pulling 32,000 pounds of glass. His vehicle and load weighed 60,000. The big diesel is owned by Woodie Truck Lines of El Paso......Not Same Span The span is located in the middle of the bridge, White said, and is not the same portion of the bridge which gave way last May 4, seriously …
