Dress of black bouclé wool. Empire waistline. Short, puffed sleeves with black satin piping at hem; gathers reinforced at shoulders with stiff black fabric. Wide, scooped neckline with black satin piping. Knee length. Black satin belt is 1" wide, attached at sides and ties in back. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Side slit pockets. Lined in black chiffon in bodice and black silk below empire waistline with black grosgrain ribbon petersham closed with hook & eye. Cocktail Dress

Cocktail dress of ivory four-ply silk and brown wool crepe. Torso and long sleeves are of ivory silk, and the 5" cuffs and 15" skirt panel are of brown wool crepe. Silk tie at neckline hangs down front and back. Center back opening with 5 self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes supplemented with snaps at neckline. Top portion lined in ivory silk, bottom portion lined in brown silk. Designer's label in skirt: "Norman Norell / New York". Retailer's(?) label sewn into lining, partly obscured: "Saks Fifth Avenue / Helas / Greenhill / 4-19-66 5322". Union label in skirt near designer's label. This garment shows evidence at hemline of having been shortened.

Cocktail dress in a pink, blue and green chiffon print with gold thread embroidery in paisley pattern. Cocktail length with gathered skirt. V-shaped neckline trimmed in ruffle of self. Long, set-in sleeves with ruffled cuffs of self. Set-in 2" waistline has snap indicating dress possibly had a belt or attached bow at one time. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Outer dress is backed in green organdy and body of dress is lined in green silk. Designer's label at center back seam of lining: "Mollie Parnis / New York" Union label "340192" under seam beside designer's label.
