A map of the internal provinces of New Spain: the outlines are from the sketches of, but corrected and improved by Captain Zebulon M. Pike, who was conducted through that country, in the year 1807 by order of the Commandant General of those provinces.

Map shows the "boundary between the Vice Royalty and the Internal Provinces which are independent of the Vice Roy"; villages, roads, areas of Native American habitation, mining activity, and physical features for the northern provinces of New Spain; the Rio Colorado and the Rio del Norte [Rio Grande].
