The interview includes Fleming's personal experiences about being a B-24 navigator in the European Theater during World War II, his education at Kansas State University, enlisting as an Aviation Cadet in the Army Air Forces, navigator training, bomber transition training, his assignment to Pantanella Air Base, various missions to Austria and Rumania, fighter escorts by the Tuskegee Airmen, and raids against oil refineries and marshalling yards. Fleming also talks about enemy flak and fighter opposition, his return to the States after fifty-one missions his crew's pet dog, correspondence with his wife, and his postwar business career.

The first purpose was to develop and validate a quantitative selection tool, the weighted application blank, tailored to the nursing home industry. The second purpose of this study was to determine whether data scaling and increased statistical rigor can reduce the frequency of type I and type II errors in the weighted application.

From Introduction: "The Hot Springs Quadrangle covers an area of approximately 18,500 km2 and is in southwestern South Dakota and northwestern Nebraska between latitudes 43º to 44ºN. and longitudes 102º to 104ºW. (Fig. 1). The quadrangle was evaluated at the surface and in the subsurface to a depth of 1500 m to identify geologic environments and delineate areas that exhibit characteristics favorable for uranium deposits."

From abstract: Results of a reconnaissance geochemical survey of the Lincoln Quadrangle are reported. Field and laboratory data are presented for 577 groundwater and 754 stream sediment samples. Statistical and areal distributions of uranium and possible uranium-related variables are displayed. A generalized geologic map of the survey area is provided, and pertinent geologic factors which may be of significance in evaluating the potential for uranium mineralization are briefly discussed.

Data collected as part of a hydrogeochemical and stream sediment reconnaissance for the Lincoln NTMS quadrangle in Kansas and Nebraska including laboratory data on well water and stream sediments as well as field data.
