Sound recording of two different talks held during the 3rd National Oral History Association Colloquium at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska. The first talk was recorded on Friday November 22, 1968 with Dr. Philip Crowl, and the second was recorded on Saturday November 23, 1968 and features Dr. Shoshnile, Dr. Louis Starr, and Walter Lord.

She talks about her chickens. She asks if they plan to come visit in the summer, because she really wants to see them. She comments on the weather and asks if they think about moving to St. Louis. She liked their pictures and asks about Claude's father. She asks for a long letter.

Letter to Linnet White from Lula Watkins. She wrote to let Linnet know that she is happy to have Linnet and her family over to visit while Linnet is in Omaha to have an operation. She mentions that it appears a war might be happening soon and that it would make times difficult.

Letter to Linnet, Ruth, and Claude D. White from Lula Watkins. She wrote to express her regret that she will not be able to see Linnet until later in the year and to update her friend on her life. She mentions a new car her family has purchased, friends she has spent time with, and a high-profile divorce case involving Dr. Arthur.

Letter from Fred H. Rayner to Harris Leon Kempner mentioning a few things while he's still in Taipei. He mentioned that they got a letter from The Pacific Commerce Company on May 18th. He also mentions about the cotton sales to them and then says that their business has picked up in Orleans and Texas.

Postcard addressed to Mayme Collins in Central City, Nebraska from Leda Bahl with a Christmas illustration printed on the front. The picture on the front is of a bell decorated with Christmas decorations all around it, and "A Merry Christmas" printed below it. There is a note on the reverse side of the card from Leda that reads: "Guessing you are glad that the time is almost here for you to come home you said you were anxious to see Harry's house. You ought to see Harry's dog. I told you Harry he thought more of the dog than he does of his sisters. Mayme wish you all a merry Xmas."

The photograph shows a woman standing on a stone wall and looking down at a man sitting below another wall with a beam of sunlight shining from her face to his body; the caption underneath reads: "We'll be wedded to each other and the sunshine will be smiling on us too." There is also a note written on the back of the card in red ink.
