He is walking on the sidewalk outside of the building and there are bushes, benches, and a tree in between this sidewalk and the grass in the foreground of the image. The building is made of stone and has glass double doors that have a metal grid overlay. These doors are bordered by an ornately carved stone frame that is topped with a crest.
