Hill outlines his business itinerary and discribes the bad effects that the war in Korea is having on many businesses. The reverse side includes a postscript informing Carswell of Hill's immediate travel itinerary and a reminder of his Los Angeles address.

Letter from O'Bion Gatz to Jeane Bertig Kempner discussing the arrival of the Italian Bowl Mrs. Kempner gifted her. She also informs Mrs. Kempner that she has not been feeling well as well as on some gossip surrounding the contents of Joseph Bertig's will. She talks about a rumor stating that Mr. Bertig left half of his estate to Mrs. Gatz, which she refutes as ridiculous. Mrs. Gatz also tells Mrs. Kempner about her anger at hearing someone had been attempting to flirt with her husband, William Gatz.

Letter from Daniel W. Kempner to Inge Honig discussing that Mr. Kempner did not get to meet with Mrs. Honig and her family in New York due to his wife's brother's death and funeral.

Letter from Daniel W. Kempner to W. L. Gatz discussing being unable to attend a meeting because all the stockholders' meetings for national banks are being held on the same day and he has a prior commitment to the meeting for the United States National Bank in Galveston. Mr. Kempner also informs Mr. Gatz of his other obligations throughout January to corporations in Galveston and decided that the meeting he is missing will just have to be adjourned as he is a majority stockholder and has to be in attendance for there to be a quorum.

Letter from William L. Gatz to Mr. and Mrs. Kempner discussing his search for a lot in a cemetery under the name of Bertig turning up nothing as the deed to the lot cannot be found. He also mentions enclosing a copy of the will.

Letter from W. L. Gatz to Daniel W. Kempner disagreeing with Mr. Kempner's suggestion to simply adjourn the New First National Bank meeting as it would hurt the banks reputation in the small town to delay. Mr. Gatz instead asks Mr. Kempner to reconsider which bank shareholders meeting he will attend or to send Mr. Blackshear in his stead so the meeting reaches quorum.

Letter from Daniel Webster Kempner to W. L. Gatz +mentioning that they received box of apples from Fayettville, Arkansas. He mentions that they couldn't find a card enclosed, and they think that it's from Gatz. So he conveys his thanks.
