This home movie documents the daily lives and activities of the Cochran family including family vacations and holidays. The film begins with a vacation in Hot Springs, Arkansas, a ride on the Lake Hamilton Sky Ride, a plane ride above Arkansas, swimming in a hotel pool, stopping at scenic points and overlooks, horses, and riding in go-carts (00:00-15:38). The family celebrates Christmas (15:38-17:34) followed by footage of young girls outdoors carrying bouquets of flowers and a horse (17:35-18:56). The family watches a parade which includes a drill team and marching band, floats, and children on horses and bicycles (18:57-20:01). The family celebrates another Christmas (20:01-21:35), plays cards outdoors (21:35-22:28), vacations in an unknown location (22:28-23:09), and rides a motorbike (25:28-26:41).

Interview with Ramon Ruiz, a civil servant of the Department of Education and advocate for Hispanic education from La Copita, Texas. Ruiz discusses his family history, growing up, school in Kingsville, local relations between Mexicans and white people, high school football, playing for North Texas State, becoming a coach for elementary school, joining the Job Corps, teaching inmates, working with school districts on desegregation in Texas, and work on various federal education programs in Washington with an emphasis on Hispanic communities and cooperation with Mexico. In appendix is a biography of Ruiz and his resumé.
