Patent for a improved process and apparatus use commercially to separate ores using flotation. By "introducing a novel step in the flotation process which results in the complete breaking down of the froth and at the same time keeping the volume of water used within the smallest practical limits thus preventing the washing away of valuable concentrates by an unnecessarily large volume of water" (lines 54-60).
