From Introduction: "The data reported in this bulletin are largely the result of experiments conducted by the Salt Lake City station of the Bureau of Mines in cooperation with the department of metallurgical research of the University of Utah. The work on the lead is the only one of the phases of the investigations carried on at that station during the years 1914 to 1916."

From Prefactory Statement: "In this bulletin are presented the results obtained in the first two phases of the work outlined above. The bulletin is in two parts. The first part describes the methods of mining and milling used, suggests a standard method of sampling finished graphite, and describes a rapid and convenient method of analysis developed at the Pittsburgh station of the Bureau of Mines, to which has been assigned the analytical and microscopic work. The second part describes experiments on the concentration and milling of graphite, which were made at the Salt Lake City, Utah, station."

From Introduction: "This bulletin aims ti bring the salient features of the process to the attention of metallurgists for the purpose of furnishing information to and receiving comments from interested parties with the ultimate hope that the process will be a commercial success."

A letter from James W. Hunt to Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Goss of Salt Lake City, Utah, dated July 12, 1932. The letter thanks Mr. and Mrs. Goss for a letter of recommendation signed by a number of prominent citizens of Salt Lake City. It also discusses a geologist named Frank and his travels.

Client card describing work completed at the Roman Bronze Works Foundry for Mr. E. Q. Cannon, including a job number, brief description, monetary amount, and dates associated with each entry. Piece included: "Indian Statuette" (2 copies).

Postcard of a town as seen from an aerial view, further described as "This is a most remarkable picture as seen from the eye of the bird man. It shows most of the historical points of interest and many new ones. In the foreground are the "Mormon" Temple Square, the Hotel Utah, the Lion and Beehive Houses, the new Church Office building, Z. C. M. I. and other business houses. In the center are the L. D. S. Buildings and in the distance the Utah State Capitol." The message on the back is illegible. The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Carroll E. Ward Texas Ice Co. Beaumont, Texas."

The Park is one of Salt Lake's beauty spots covering the walls of City Creek Canyon opposite the State Capitol Building." The message on the back is illegible. The postcard is addressed to "Mrs. Carroll E. Ward Texas Ice Co. Beaumont, Texas."
