Shivers discusses discovering her sexuality, her relationships, nursing school, church involvement, closeting and her marriage, jobs worked, moving to Dallas, the LGBT community, joining the Metropolitan Community Church and establishing a parish in Dallas, organizing the first Pride parades in the area, political activism and police interference, death threats, and the Kennedy Assassination.
