Patent for a combined cotton and corn planter by having two wheel guards and graduators, one feed-wheel is mounted fixedly on the shaft, the other is removable; so that it can be easily converted from planting corn or cotton-seed, and vice versa, and regulating the planting of either. Patent for improvements in rope-cutters by designing a “cutter having a slotted bracket with a lateral extension or bearing that has a longitudinal slot and a stop,” with a “combination of a lever-handle having a projecting knife-blade, registering with the slot in the bearing.” (Lines 81-86) This enable the rope to be cut in a single operation without sever the fibers. Patent for improvement in game-table in which it provided with a table similar in construction to the ordinary billiard-table. “A series of spring-pressed levers fulcrumed in the lower end of a casing and each provided at its upper end with a hook and at its lower end with a ball extending over the floor of the table.” (P. 2, lines 67-71) This game is played by using one or more balls to strike a series of balls that are arranged along the bottom of a casing, causing the levers to disengaged the rods, therefore revealing a card through an opening formed in the front of the casing. Illustration is included.
