The Scottsville Cemetery proudly boasts a Confederate monument of grand proportions, standing larger than most seen on courthouse lawns across the state. A testament to the Scott family's involvement in the Civil War, the monument bears the names of seven family members who served, along with many other relatives who also answered the call to duty.
