[Letter from Dr. Bruce Webster to Daniel Kempner, February 13, 1953]

Letter from Dr. Bruce Webster to Daniel Kempner discussing X-ray results which show that the ulcer has healed completely, thus it is suggested to back to the normal diet. However, it is still important to take milk between meal and it is safe to stop Trascentin, consume Amphogel only when there is any discomfort. Few restrictions on diet are omission of fried or greasy foods, condiments, spiced sauces and alcohol with exception of glass of wine. Dr. Webster suggests Mr. Kempner to take rest for one half an hour after lunch. Mr. Kempner can continue to exercise without causing back pain or shortness of breath. Also, the doctor urges him to take a decent vacation of at least six weeks during summer and says that Mr. Kempner in general is in much better health condition than earlier and would recheck on him in the next visit in New York.
