Video of 5 members of the RAG Ladies (Retired Apparel Group) visiting the Texas Fashion Collection on November 21, 2013 at the new facility at 405 S. Welch St., Denton, Texas, on the campus of the University of North Texas. The ladies were interviewed by Myra Walker, Curator of the TFC, about their lives in the world of fashion and the apparel industry, and their roles in bring the Dallas Museum of Fashion to UNT. The ladies interviewed were: Jacque Prager, Frances Maloney, Nan Alexander, Naomie Rudelson, and Mary Beth Hoeffner.

Boy's suit of olive green wool tweed with gold flecks and small blue and white vertical stripes. A) Jacket. Triangular, placket front is bordered with black twill tape and has a vertical, center insert of red wool bordered with black braid. Four gilded brass buttons on each side of placket with right side closure having tailored buttonholes. 1-1/2" belt of self attaches at bottom button. Long, set-in sleeves are trimmed with two, smaller, nonfunctional matching buttons. Turn down collar closes with 2 hook & eyes. Bow tie of black silk faille. Horizontal, double welt pockets at side. Body of jacket is lined with black polished cotton and sleeves are lined in cotton fabric in stripes of light gray with thin green stripes. B) Short pants of matching tweed. Closes with a single brown button on each side of waist above pockets. Single slit pocket on the back at right. Sides of legs trimmed with 3 matching, nonfunctional buttons. Interior cotton satin waistband has 8 vertical buttonholes and is stamped: "Aletor(?) Waist Band / Patented / June 29, 1896 / 3 / Brooklyn, N. Y." Front lined in brown polished cotton.

Child's sundress of off-white cotton with an intricate floral motif print in various shades of greens and pinks outlined in a thin line of grey. Yoke with shirring at center back and pin pleats below yoke at center front; 1” straps with tiny floral print of pinks. Yoke is lined in off-white cotton and dress has attached under-layer with 1 ½” hem that matches print on straps. A-line silhouette. Size small (fits 6-7 year old child).

Boy's coat ensemble. A) Boy's jacket of sky blue and white check. Double-breasted style with two vertical rows of 3 buttons each. Long sleeves. No collar. Two un-opened welt pockets at hips. Cream cotton lining. Designer's label: "Merry Mites / Inc." and "4" Content and care label, mostly illegible. B) Boy's shorts of off-white linen(?). Center front zipper with single button at waistband. No belt-loops. Internal elastic segment along back waistband. Designer's label: "Merry Mites / Inc." and "4"

Dress. Heavy cream-colored crepe and lace dress. Sheath style, shaped neckline, "sleeveless", with very thin spaghetti straps and a second strap from which is attached an "epaulet" of frothing lace to act as a cap sleeve. Side seam zipper at left. Lower edge of hem cut to form slight triangles at sides. From slightly above knees on each side is gather/swag/"froth" and long cascade of lace that layers and spills to ground and forms train at back of dress. Lined in a cream silk(?) No designer's label, but tag pinned inside: "629663-04 / Carrell"

Pussy hat that forms "cat ears" when worn, made of pink yarn knitted in stockinette stitch with a ribbed brim.

The video includes footage of the new site being cleared after demolition of the Church of Christ, construction of the Texas Fashion Collection section of the new facility, the arrival and placement of the modular sections, and general preparation of the new facility. Activities include inventory work, packing materials and preparing racks of garments for the move, of wrapped racks being loaded on and unloaded from trucks, and items being unloaded in the new facility. Still footage of packed areas of Scoular and new classrooms in Welch Street I are also included.
