The aim of the writer in giving the Stenquist Mechanical Aptitude Test as a basis for this study was to try to find a reliable method of selecting the boys to be admitted to the shop classes in vocational and technical high schools.

The problem in this study is to make the appraisal of the practice of homemaking in the Dallas junior high schools.

The purpose of this thesis is to present a history of the establishment and growth of the Crozier Technical High School in Dallas, Texas, with special emphasis placed upon technical phases of the school curriculum and the concrete outcomes in terms of actual results ascertained from the graduates.

This study will endeavor to make a comparative study of seventeen children in the second grade in an elementary school in Dallas that attended private schools and omitted the first year of the public school, and seventeen children that are in the second grade after completing the first grade in the public school. The purpose of the study in comparing the social and academic status of the two groups is to determine if the non-scholastic child after a year of private school is able to adjust and accomplish an academic and social status on the level of the second year of the public school as compared with children of school age that have been through the first year and are now in their second year.

For the pupil the realization of the pure joy and exhilaration of living. 5. Poise and self confidence within the child. 6. The carrying over of this program into other closely related classes such as, playground, art, auditorium, and music. 7. An ambition within each pupil to make his community life more desirable.

The question arises, how are the homes in the Lisbon School District contributing to delinquency? The answer to this question is the problem for this study.

The problem of this study is to determine the relationship of hearing to school achievement. More specifically, the problem is to compare the hard-of-hearing child with the normal hearing child of approximately the same intelligence quotient and similar home background in their academic progress in the elementary school to determine the educational loss due to this specific defect.
