The purpose of this study is to set up, by reading, observing, and discussing the different phases of Special Education, a proposed plan for administering a more adequate educational program for the exceptional children of the Allen Public School.

This problem sets forth a proposal whereby the children who are classified in one of the categories for Special Education for "exceptional children", in Collin County Texas, may receive the most benefits from a program that is administered on a county-wide basis.

This study was selected to determine the relation of reading readiness to the mental, physical, personal, and social factors of a group of low first-grade pupils of the Plano Elementary School, Plano, Texas during the first five months of the school year 1949-1950. There are many cost items to be considered in the operation of a public school, and they have varied from year to year since the beginning of public school operation. This study attempts to determine those increased cost items in rural high schools which can be contributed directly to the passage of the Gilmer-Aikin Bills.

Can home and family life education incorporate sociological findings, psychological procedures, and frames of reference typical of lower and middle classes into educational techniques and content which will assist adolescents to achieve certain developmental tasks more satisfactorily?

The purpose of this study is two-fold: (1) to evaluate an instrument for measuring the self-concept of middle grade children; and (2) to determine the relationship of a middle-grade child's self-concept to his peer status, his classification by the teacher as a problem in behavior or classroom management, and to his academic achievement.
