Patent for sewage thickener that relies on sewage solids to sink to the bottom of the sewer and fall into the thickener, in which the thickener will press the solid sewage into a pulp. The pulp will be pressed at a predetermined density, and then the pressed pulp will float to the top of the sewage to be removed. The separation of liquid and solid sewage was predicted to prevent overflow.
