Bodice with round neckline and no sleeves, and 2" band at empire waistline; 9" upper portion of skirt of floral embroidered net accented with bugle beads and sequins with rows of scalloped bugle beads at bottom from which full-length beaded fringe falls to hem; skirt continues to full-length with vertical stripes of floral lace and silver bugle beads. 18" slit at center-front; center-back zip closure; fully backed with tan crepe. Designer's label near waist inside dress: "by Alfred Bosand / New York". B) Top of white net lace embellished with silver bugle beads and silver sequins; bust and long sleeves of vertical stripes of floral lace and silver bugle beads; lower portion and band collar of floral embroidered net accented with bugle beads and sequins with rows of scalloped bugle beads at top of scalloped collar, and below bust, separating the two sections; pull-over with elasticized waist and center-back snap closure; unlined except for band collar. Cocktail dress of black and pale pink acetate with black tulle lace over vest of bust and on trim of sleeves and hem; three-quarter length sleeves with gathering at shoulders, elasticized at forearms, and 4” lace trim; bodice has vest of pale pink acetate with over-layer of black tulle lace; scalloped, soft V-neckline; skirt of black acetate gathered into a satin ribbon at hem trimmed in scalloped lace; below knee-length; center-back zip closure. Skirt suit of gray fine plaid. A) Jacket of gray fine plaid with an over-layer of black floral lace exposing the plaid; lace has scallop trim 2” above the wrists and hem of the jacket. Jacket has round neckline; 4 gray button closure down center-front; long sleeves with inner shoulder pads; lower hip length; fully lined in black synthetic. B) Skirt of matching plaid with 1 ½” waistband with center-back zip and hook and eye closure; darts at front and back; lined in black synthetic; 17” length. Evening gown of black velvet with scoop neckline and long, tapered sleeves. The full-length gown has 3 diagonal-set flounces from left hip to right knee that fall to the hem on right side; flounces are each 7 ½” of pleated synthetic and are slightly ruffled; bodice has crescent princess seams with gathering at bust; straight skirt has a left-side slit; sleeves have single snap closure at wrists; dress is fully lined in satin; center-back zip closure. Combined designer's and retailer's label: "Victor Costa / for / Lord & Taylor"

Evening suit of amethyst acetate with gold braid, embroidery and beads. a) Jacket in a short fitted style with long sleeves. Collarless with gold lace trim around neckline, center front and hem. Hidden center front closure of 4 large, black fabric-covered snaps supplemented with 2 hook & eyes. Fabric is woven with gold threads in a scalloped design embellished on front panels with gold beads and large gold teardrops. Gold lace trim also around armholes. Lined in amethyst satin acetate; padded shoulders. Victor Costa Sample label pinned to center back neckline with large Saks Fifth Avenue paper tag. b) Skirt of amethyst velvet in straight style. Knee length with 1" waistband. Center back opening with zipper and hook & bar on waistband. Lined in amethyst satin acetate.

Dress of black silk taffeta. Mid-length, with shallow boat neckline and natural waistline. Long, full sleeves are gathered into shoulders and into tops of wide cuffs, which have five cloth-covered buttons. Front bodice with bust darts and a vertical opening secured by cross laces through nine pairs of silver-colored grommets set with tiny rhinestones. Skirt gathered into waist, and has pockets at sides. Center back zipper with top hook and eye. Fully lined. Jacket of off-white linen.

Dress of red silk crepe. Collarless, V-shaped neckline. Empire waistline with knotted tie at center front having trailing, pointed ends. Long bishop sleeves with decorative tie cuffs and two snaps for closure. Below knee length; flared skirt. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Lined in red silk. Evening dress of burgundy and purple chiffon.

Ballgown of dark, navy blue ribbed satin. Strapless. Center front opening with 14 self-covered buttons, top two nonfunctional, with bound buttonholes. At upper bust, to left and right of center front opening, are attached paired flaps of self fabric giving appearance of patch pockets with flaps. Skirt gathers at natural waist with full skirt. Gored panels to left and right of center back seam of skirt. Inner bodice of black net with boning and black grosgrain ribbon petersham; closes at center front with 9 hook & eyes. Unlined. Designer's label at center back seam near hem: "Christian Dior - New York / Original / Trade Mark" Hanging straps on bodice are embroidered "Neiman-Marcus"

Evening dress of black lace with silver glitter star-like decoration. Bodice and long dolman sleeves of silver metallic fabric. Sleeves are zippered and trimmed in black lace at hem. Below-knee length. Pleated pouch pockets at sides. Skirt is slightly peg shaped and tapers into knees. Center back zipper closure with hook & eye. Black synthetic lining; shoulder pads. Designer's label to right of zipper at neckline: "Geoffrey Beene / New York"

Evening dress of fuchsia pink satin synthetic. Dress has long sleeves trimmed with row of tightly pleated ruffles. Scoop neckline is trimmed with double-row of matching ruffles. Full length, full skirt is trimmed with a matching ruffle at hem. Side slit pockets. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Unlined. Suit of red wool flannel with green and black windowpane plaid, consisting of: A) Coat. Single breasted with four flat, circular gold tone buttons and tailored buttonholes. Lower thigh length; long sleeves with 1-1/2" cuffs and one smaller matching button. Turn down collar. Two flapped patch pockets with large American "Great Seal" type eagles of applique in gold cord, beads, sequins, springs and vinyl that measure 4"x 5", holding arrows and olive branches. Eagles are mirror image to each other. Unlined; shoulder pads. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Bill Blass" Tag attached to base of designer label: "Made in U.S.A. / of Imported Fabric" Union, care and size "8" tags at right side seam. Evening gown of black polyester velvet and satin. Heart shaped sweetheart velvet bodice with beaded leaf pattern applique embellishing surface. Long puffed satin sleeves with appliques at shoulders and black bugle bead and braid trimmed cuffs; zipper closure. V-shaped waistline has 4 long beaded tassels that tie at center front. Full length, gathered satin skirt with black net underskirt. Designer's label at back right shoulder: "Victor Costa" Care and content/size tags under designer label.

Suit of Kelly green wool twill. A) Box style jacket has princess seams. Four square white buttons at center front opening with tailored buttonholes; 2 matching buttons at cuffs. Bracelet length sleeves. Outside edges along collar, center front, hem and cuffs trimmed with white fabric 3/4" wide. White trimmed flap pockets at hips. White trim detail on front bodice area on each side in an L-shape on the left side and reversed L-shape on the right. Unlined; shoulder pads. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Bill Blass" Fiber content, cleaning instructions and size "10" tags sewn to base of designer label. B) Skirt of same. Knee length. Skirt suit of heather black/gray jersey wool.

Jacket of twill-look silver viscose rayon/cotton blend bordered and trimmed in metallic silver grosgrain. Long set-in sleeves; U-shaped neckline with triangular tabs at front. Center front zipper closure. Lined in silver silk. Designer's label: "Geoffrey Beene" Original sales tags with jacket.

Embroidered Panel for Trade. Triangular appliquéd blocks of cotton fabric in various colors along the edges with hand embroidered center of double spiral geometric motifs embroidered on a satin background. This is a contemporary piece yet true to the original work of the Hmong.
