The entrance of the building faces the right side of the photo and is made entirely of the stone blocks, which form three arches at the top of the stairs with the words "Eastland County Courthouse" carved above. Two stone plinths sit on either side of the stairs. The first floor of the building, at the same level as the arches, is also built out of stone and has a row of windows extending across the width of the building, along with another row of window below it at ground level.
