Cleaning Fish at Fowler Home
Photograph of Clarence Fowler cleaning a nice string of fish while Mrs. Fowler applies water from a hose and gives general supervision. Fowler has fished in Canada and throughout Western U. S. and contends that fishing in the Sandstone Creek area is the best ever. His records show 285 lbs. caught on rod and real during the period March15-May 15, 1960. Fowler owns and operates a 2,000 acre ranch in the area.

Sandstone Flood Personal Observation
Photograph of Ott Fowler, Mgr. , Red Rock Ranch, perched on top of the corral fence on the ranch. He has watched the Sandstone Flood Prevention Project from the beginning. He summed it all up when he said, "Floods have stopped, yields are better, water is plentiful, fishing is tops and wild turkeys and beavers are numerous as well as other small game. " Fowler said "the wild turkeys use the top rail above the corral gates as their roost. "

String of Fish from Sandstone Creek Watershed
Photograph of a sting of fish caught by Clarence Fowler, Rancher, out of Site 4, Sandstone Creek Watershed. These 6 bass and 1 channel cat weighed a total of 26 pounds. Fowler has fished in Canada, throughout the Northwest part of the U.S., and in Colorado-he said, "This is the best fishing area in the country right here on Sandstone." Fowler keeps a record of fish caught, the record shows 285 lbs. caught during period March 15 to May 15, 1960.
