Carswell know how he is getting along. He advises that he is at home alone day and night and is "very sad and lonely all the time day and night. I sometimes I will commit suicide and forget all my trouble"; he writes that Maree and Virgel have forgotten they ever had a father, that he will not ever forget loosing the one that is already gone on to Heaven.
