Carswell expresses their grief regarding the death of Worth hoping that his brother Allen was already there. They would not be able to go but to phone or wire anything she needed and was praying that God bless, comfort and keep close to her.

A newspaper clipping with a circled article titled "Roy Mattox Dies in Jacksonville". The article is printed by The Clinch County News, dated February 5, 1954. Carswell handwrites on the clipping that Mattox was a childhood friend and neighbor.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Chairman, Committee on Americanism, Parramore Post No. 57, American Legion, Abilene, Texas, from Ralph Davis, Executive Secretary to the Governor, State of Florida, dated December 17, 1941. Davis explains that due to the heavy demand upon the time of the Governor since the American declaration of war against the Axis powers there has been no time for the Governor to answer but confirms that he will continue to hold the letter for the Governor's attention.

The Alabama Board advises that the request was made to the Florida authorities to investigate a transfer from Texas. Stephens advises regarding a reply from Florida and gives instructions for Subject No.59,311 to report.
