The collection includes Wilson's records while a senator in the Texas Legislature as well as federal papers since he has been a U.S. Congressman. Photograph of Peyton Walters driving Congressman Charles Wilson's mobile office. Walters, a former Polk County judge, began working for Wilson in 1979 to manage his mobile office program. He later served as Wilson's chief of staff from about 1991-1996 when Wilson retired from Congress.
