This document shows the provisions of th National Historic Preservation Act (“Act”) as they now appear in title 54 of the United States Code. This publication describes the attachment to assist those preservation stakeholders who for many years have referred to the Act’s various provisions according to the section numbers used in the 1966 public law and subsequent amendments (“old sections”). The attachment cross-references each of the old sections to the corresponding outdated title 16 legal cite and current title 54 legal cite.
